Is this thing on?
Sale highlights and everything new on my shopping list!
Miranda here, and my apologies for accidentally taking a year-long hiatus. Now that we are on the other side of 2025, we feel ready to embrace all that fell along the wayside and feed more energy back into this space. Expect a bit of a candid approach to things around here. It’s gonna be a lot of behind the scenes, phone snaps, shopping lists, travel recs and all the odds and ends that make up what we do.
A quick look at what we have to look forward to in the coming months:
New brands are landing at the shop as we speak including the most beautiful leather, suede and ponyhair bags from Esha Soni, and apparel from new brands including Rohe, Kartik Research, Kallmeyer and Cristaseya. Plus more custom jewelry collaborations and of course a heaping of hot vintage too (if you’ve been anxiously awaiting a refresh of our vintage Levis, stand by!) Not to mention our annual trip to Tucson for the famed gem & mineral show (expect some stunning stones in the store in the next month.) And a quick jaunt over the Atlantic to Paris for equal parts inspiration, pastries and a glimpse at the Fall collections.
While January is famously crickets in the retail world, we have a lot going on in and out of the shop to keep us busy. I’ve personally had a wild case of the shoppies this month, what with sale season and the first hiccups of Spring. I figured nows a good time to walk you through my sale cart as well as my favorite newness gracing our shelves (and maybe soon my closet).
My Sale Cart Runeth Over:
When I’m shopping a sale, I’m either looking to add pieces to my wardrobe that I’m going to wear constantly, or I’m looking for a deal on something thats a bit of a wildcard.
From my sale cart, I can personally vouch for the Anni Cardigan (which I’m wearing as I type this) and the Comme Si Yves Socks (I own them in every color). They are two of the best additions to my wardrobe in recent months as they fall into that wear-constantly category.

The Tanaka Shearling Vest and Tigra Tigra Shibori Coat on the other hand are two pieces I’ve been thinking about since we placed our orders way back when. Both make a grand sartorial statement, which I particularly like with outerwear since winter dressing can get rather mundane on the East Coast by about February. A statement coat will save a lackluster outfit every time. Same goes for the Allegra Boots from Le Monde Beryl. We have one pair left (in my size!) and they are such an exclamation point on a simple silhouette. We styled them with a big cashmere sweater, wool tights and a very cool belt. Voila!
I wasn’t totally sold on the Tamou Trousers until I saw a few different people try them on in person. Then I realized how much of an elevated staple they are. Such a cool silhouette and in the most luxurious drapey wool fabric. They are perfect for a more dressed up occasion when you don’t want to buy yet another dress you will wear once. On the opposite end of the spectrum, the Knit Sweats from Sayaka Davis are a cozy-but-still-nice pant contender. Using a knit fabrication instead of your typical fleece just takes this silhouette to the next level. Plus I personally love a tapered ankle sweatpant. Is this a 90s kid thing?
Completing my cart is a pair of sterling hoops with a surreal water-drop texture, the coolest flare jeans with rivet detailing, and a pinched and knotted OOAK tee. It’s all about the details here.
What’s New You Ask?
I’m deeply in the nesting portion of winter. Given the amount of time I’m currently spending at home, at least until the sun starts to set after 7 pm, I am on the hunt for the best mood lighting, the right aroma and a new magazine to keep me occupied and inspired between rewatching Heated Rivalry and cleaning out my closet.

As for my closet, I’ve mostly narrowed down my apparel additions (and subtractions), so my main focus is largely on new accessories:
I’ve been searching for the right zebra ponyhair accoutremant and this is it! (Plus I just found an almost matching vintage bag from Poshmark! )
In my fourth year attending the Tucson Gem Show, I can solidly say I am a quartz fanatic. If you see anything crystal in the shop, I probably advocated for it.
An ode to the 90s skater boy, this hat is a fun topper and oh so warm.
Classic, statement, silver. Everything I’ve been looking for. Makes every outfit.
Somehow I never have the right heel for any occasion. Could these solve that problem?
I’m loving chartreuse right now. And a classic sweater in an unexpected color is a great way to incorporate something a bit off-kilter or out of your comfort zone.
Happy shopping & talk soon!
Xx Miranda
