New Obsessions: Early Fall Edit
A glimpse at what's holding our attention in (and out of) the shop lately.

The end of August to mid September is historically a whirlwind of Fall deliveries in the shop. Picture endless cardboard boxes, sky high piles of woolen knits, and having our UPS driver Jay on speed dial. And now that the weather has turned a corner into glorious 70º days (sorry to all you LA folks who are still melting. I hear the heat may be clearing soon!) we are fully on board the chore jacket/cashmere/cardigan train on the way to shearling, velvet cloak and matching sweat suit station!
With all this in mind, we are overdue for a round up of some of our current obsessions in the shop (in case you too missed things in the whirlwind of web updates) with a smidge of what we’re watching/listening to/reading, etc to get you all in the East Coast Autumnal spirit too!
JUSTINE MENARD GLASS JEWELRY & OBJECTS

We’ve all been anxiously awaiting this particular delivery from Spain since we placed our order with Justine Menard back in July. Upon opening the box we were smitten with the blobby off-kilter wine glasses and orb-like jewelry. The way the light bounces and refracts off the dimpled glass is mesmerizing. And each piece is completely one of a kind. I’m dreaming up a fictional dinner party already with the wine glasses adding a sweet organic touch to the tabletop spread while the Les Ondines Necklace and Les Nereiden Earrings adorn my décolletage in light fractals!
BUTTON UPS
We wear a lot of button ups in this office. A lot, alot. And thus we are always on the hunt for the next best fit/color/texture to snazz up our wardrobes. We have a plethora of contenders for Fall from Vestige staples such as Cawley, Sofie D’Hoore and Cordera as well as newer labels to the shop, By Malene Birger & Labo.Art. For a “wear it every other day” option I’d go with either this, this or this. For a bit more statement and flare, I’d go here, here, or here. But honestly you can’t go wrong with any of them and in my opinion you can never have too many in your closet!
UNDO HEADBAND IN JET BLACK
Like many others of a certain generation, Carolyn Bessette Kennedy is a constant focal point of style inspiration when hoping to channel a sleek yet casual, not-trying-too-hard vibe. She had a way of taking a very simple silhouette with minimal accessories and making it look utterly chic and fashionable. This usually seemed to come down to the right edit and a healthy dose of luxury and accessible brands alike. Nikes with easy white cargos. An oversized sweater and LL Bean boat tote to accessorize her worn in jeans. A sleek headband with slim oval sunnies. Attention to the smallest details but never too fussy.
This Italian made Headband in Jet Black from Undo is the perfect accessory to channel her effortless style.
FAMILY STYLE MAGAZINE: ISSUE 2
Issue 2: Objects of Affection is here from Family Style Magazine and its a must read for fellow art/fashion/food/culture obsessees like us. The article about JB Blunk’s (a new-to-me artist) practice and design philosophy was of particular interest to me. But it’s the kind of publication you can return to again and again for inspiration and new discoveries (including a yummy cauliflower recipe from Trey MacDougal himself!)
COLORFUL HOSIERY
Cherry Red, Salvia, Dark Brown, Melanzana, Rust…we’ve got all the colors of Fall foliage covered for adorning your stems. Our favorite tights from Maria La Rosa & Swedish Stockings look great paired with a simple slip dress/sweater/blazer combo and your favorite flats. But I’m also thinking a mini with a clunky platform, loafer or cowboy boot would be a vibe. How are you guys styling your socks & tights this Fall? And whats your color of choice? Share with us in the chat!
BIG SWEATER UPDATE!!!!

Extreme Cashmere Drop 2 is in the building (don’t worry, it will be online very soon) First things first was a mandatory throw on and freak out session! The Cashmere Club in Felt (pictured above) is my absolute dream sweater. Nif was feeling the Tokio Cardigan in Chalk when she took a sojourn from the office for a little try-on break (our favorite kind). Ashley may have sent a concerned text after hearing our excited screams from the store, but thats just the kind of reaction these pieces elicit. Come by the shop this week for your own dose of cashmere therapy or reach out if you simply can’t wait! (email hello@shop-vestige.com for all your early shopping needs!)
After Hours & Off the Clock…
Watching:
Ashley & Nif- We are both sucked into the new Nicole Kidman show, The Perfect Couple. Also on deck is season 2 of Tell Me Lies (a guilty pleasure for all former liberal arts kids in the early aughts!)
Miranda-I went to a screening of The Virgin Suicides at the Landmark Ritz this week. An ode to my girlhood. Trip Fontaine strutting down the hallway to Magic Man really hits different on the big screen. Added bonus that going to the Ritz always feels like going back in time which is apt since this showing was in celebration of films from the year 1999.
Izzi- Beetlejuice Beetlejuice: I had to! A childhood favorite. Not as good as the original, but I’ll be rewatching this every future Halloween.
Reading:
Ashley- A Visit from the Goon Squad.
Nif-(Finally) reading All Fours! Also Sandwich on my bedside table and Demon Copperhead (on audible).
Olivia-Aside from YA romantasy (lol), I just picked up Lovely One and can't wait to read.
Listening:
Miranda-We’ve got a new Fall Playlist in the store. I’m a sucker for a shared mixtape so please drop any new music recs in the chat to keep us in the know. I tend to get sucked into all things 90’s and forget about the new releases.
Olivia-This version of Stevie Nicks' Wild Heart (IMO her magnetism makes this riff of a version infinitely better than the recorded album). Ann Annie's latest album The Wind; can't wait to see them live in LA in a couple weeks. And lastly, any kind of Alan Watts ambient meditation/chillstep (if you have a Ram Dass playlist on Spotify, then this is for you.)
Eating & Drinking:
Ashley- Sticking around the neighborhood with recent visits to Meetinghouse ( one of Bon Appetit’s 20 Best New Restaurants of 2024) & Picnic. Plus I had amazing fish tacos at Hideaway in Montauk over Labor Day weekend.
Izzi-Homemade apple spice cake with buttermilk caramel syrup! (Just used a basic spice cake recipe and added two grated apples)
Happy Fall & Stay tuned for a round up of our SS25 market highlights!
Talk soon,
~M
Tell me more about this buttermilk caramel sauce…
